After graduating with a degree in Environmental Education from Western Washington University in 2005, Jessie jumped with both feet into the world of teaching kids outdoors.
Jessie was a forest ranger at Mount St Helens and a teacher at the Pacific Science Center before moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan.
While in Ann Arbor, Jessie found a way to combine her passions - teaching and animals- by working with the wildlife at the Leslie Science and Nature Center. Creatures like Turkey Vultures, Ball Pythons, and Spotted Salamanders became her new best friends!
She has recently moved back to Seattle to work as the Child & Family Program Coordinator at the Woodland Park Zoo. Back
