Taylor, Veterinary Assistant
Hi there! My name is Taylor and I started working at Mountain Veterinary Hospital in January, 2014. I grew up in Cheney, WA and moved to Bellingham in 2011 to attend Western Washington University. Trying to decide my direction in school, I transferred to Washington State University to pursue a degree in zoology. After just one year in Pullman I missed Bellingham and WWU too much and decided to move back. I will be graduating in spring of 2015 with a BS in environmental science as well as a minor in psychology. After changing schools and majors multiple times, it is not surprising that I am still undecided as to what to do with my career, but I have always had a huge passion for working with animals and am considering veterinary or graduate school.
I come from a family of two remarkable parents and two older brothers. Growing up we had falcons, my cat named Cat, and two dogs, our German shorthaired pointer named Maggie and our black Labrador retriever, Sasha. My roommates and I currently have a Beta fish named Vito, and a Flemish giant bunny named Atticus. In my free time I love to spend time with friends and family, go camping, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and hammocking. I also love movies, books, soccer, going to the lake, travelling, and food!
After I graduate I plan on working full time at Mountain Vet as I continue to learn and get as much experience as possible within this amazing field. I am so grateful for the wonderful opportunities and teaching I have received while working here, and cannot wait to spend more time with my truly amazing coworkers and the beautiful animals we get to work with. Although I am still unsure where life will take me next, I am so excited to start this next chapter in my life! Back
